In the picture above it doesnt look like Robert has much of a problem. Take a closer look and you will see what the plastic is doing to his Ears. This is industrial plastic that all of the mall shops sell. It contains  chemicals that are known carcinogens. It should never be worn for more than a week. And then only on a fully healed piercing. Temporary use and then throw it in the trash.

The American Society of Testing and Materials certifies this plastic for industrial products and not for use in a human body.
